Waiver, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity

By registering for She Races, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Assumption of Risk

I understand that participation in a trail running or hiking event involves inherent risks. These include, but are not limited to, uneven terrain, slips, trips and falls, adverse or changing weather conditions, physical exertion, wildlife or environmental hazards, and limited access to immediate medical assistance.

I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation, whether known or unknown, and accept full responsibility for any injury, illness, loss, or damage that may occur.

I confirm that I am physically fit, sufficiently trained, and capable of participating in the event I have entered.

2. Medical and Safety

I acknowledge that I am responsible for monitoring my own physical condition during the event. I will stop and seek assistance if I experience pain, discomfort, injury, or any health concern.

I consent to receive medical treatment in the event of injury or illness during the event and understand that I am responsible for any associated costs.

3. Waiver and Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I waive, release, and discharge The Impact Collective, its organisers, committee members, volunteers, sponsors, partners, landowners, and any associated parties (together, the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to my participation in She Races.

This includes, without limitation, any claims arising from negligence, except where such liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.

4. Indemnity

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:

• My participation in the event

• Any breach of these terms

• Any act or omission by me that causes harm to another person or damage to property

5. Event Changes and Cancellation

I understand that The Impact Collective reserves the right to modify, delay, or cancel the event, or alter course routes, start times, or formats, in the interest of safety or due to circumstances beyond its control.

I acknowledge that participation is at my own risk and that no refund will be provided in such circumstances, as outlined in the Cancellation and Refund Policy.

6. Personal Responsibility and Conduct

I agree to comply with all event rules, instructions from organisers and volunteers, and any safety guidance provided before or during the event.

I understand that failure to follow instructions or unsafe behaviour may result in my removal from the event.

7. Photography and Media

I acknowledge that photographs and video may be taken during the event and grant The Impact Collective the right to use my image, likeness, and race results for promotional, marketing, and communication purposes without compensation.

8. Parental or Guardian Consent (for participants under 18)

If I am registering a participant under the age of 18, I confirm that I am their parent or legal guardian.

I consent to their participation and agree to this waiver on their behalf, including the assumption of risk, waiver of liability, and indemnity provisions. I accept full responsibility for their safety and participation.

9. Governing Law

This waiver and all related terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

10. Agreement

By completing my registration, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to this waiver, assumption of risk, and indemnity in full.
